Wonderful Weekend: Japanese Forest Bathing in the Seattle Arboretum

Saturday, May 11, 2024 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

This event has been cancelled; please email amy.blythe@emory.edu if you have any questions.

Experience the healing power of nature as you explore the Arboretum in a whole new way! A personal tour taught by psychotherapist and founder of Mindful in the Wild, Deborah Wilk, LMFT, this Seattle Alumni Network event will integrate elements of Mindfulness Meditation and Shinrin-Yoku (Japanese Forest Bathing). Our group will stroll slowly, opening our senses to the vibrant wonders of Spring, while soothing mind, body, and spirit. Energy is typically higher in the spring, so experiencing mindfulness on foot is one way to use that energy in a healthy way. Plus, it’s a beautiful time to be outdoors!

$15 per person for alumni and adult guests (not suitable for children; please use your discretion for young adults).

Very limited free parking is available for the public in several areas. Access lots at the Graham Visitors Center and the Japanese Garden. See more here: https://botanicgardens.uw.edu/washington-park-arboretum/visit/getting-here/

Please note: All ticket sales are final. Contact the event host with any questions.
